1999220013 as album narrates the impact of two drug policies between Switzerland and Italy.
The first is the case of the park Platzspitz and train station Letten, in Zurich, that by the end of the '80s and beginning of the '90s became a Europes biggest heroin market.
The dominant image that is left from the media is that of filth and disgust with the drug users as the sole culprit of such escalation. Of course the story is way more complex than such a narrative, and I am not here to testify nor narrate any truth. I can only refer to it on how it impacted my life as a son of Platspitz goer, therefore this is what you will hear. Moreover this is not an attempt to shame nor denigrate the drug users, if anything this album wants to express solidarity with the drug users trying to cast a light over the stereotypical representation that media gives them.

The second part of the album narrates the swift change in drug policy that happened in Italy in 2006 when the Fini Giovanardi law, that changed the previous division between soft and hard drug into a unique category. Therefore consumer of Hashish and Mushrooms instead of being fined, could be charged with harsher sentences. This de facto created an hostile environment in which the police would target young, and migrants in search for drugs. Suddenly police with drug sniffing dogs started to frequently appear in the courtyards of high schools to arrest any suspicious young students who might have brought a joint to smoke during the break.
